a packaging identity uniting two uncommon objects through a shared quality, creating a cohesive brand solution and product.

the brief.

Two objects were chosen using the following prompt: an object of ritual, and an object of repair. Find the common value between both objects and develop a packaging identity inspired by their common theme.

the concept.

The ‘Temperature Range’ is a wordplay-based packaging design that highlights the two key qualities of a spray fan and a mug - to warm up and cool down a person. 

 

These qualities drive the overall branding and design choices made throughout the packaging, from the arrangement of the typeface in an upward or downward manner to the carefully considered details within the illustrated linework to signify the key phrases. The packaging is oriented towards a more playful design solution, as seen in its unique cut-out and contrasted design. It offers the user an engaging unboxing journey and their experience with the objects is rewarding and satisfying.
